Icon of St. Brithwald
(Brihtwold), of Wilton
Feast: January 22
St. Brithwald was a monk of
Glastonbury in England, and was consecrated Bishop of Ramsey in 1005
(this see was later moved from Ramsey and Wilton to Salisbury, that is,
Sarum). He is known for having gifts of visions and prophecy, and
endowed Glastonbury and Malmesbury abbeys.
Holy Father Brithwald, pray to
God for us!
