A German princess born in the
Lutheran faith, the Saint converted to Orthodoxy of her own volition
and excelled in the asceticism of married life and of the monastic
life. Her fragrant relics rest today in the holy city of Jerusalem on
the Mount of Olives. Holy New-Martyr Elizabeth, pray to God for us!
