Feast Day: February 25
It was St. Ethelbert who
invited St. Augustine of Canterbury to preach to his kingdom, was
baptised by him in 597, allowed his subjects the freedom to choose
or reject Christianity, and helped convert the neighbouring kings
Sabert and Redwald.
